We believe God exists as the Bible details and instructs us. Therefore, we believe in one eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful God who created the world and came into the world as the man Jesus Christ to save the world from their sins.
He is not a disconnected deity, but one who is in intimate contact with each of us in our lives. He wants to have a relationship with us. We can know Him as a savior and a friend.
Scriptures declare God is one
God’s oneness, or monotheism, is the central doctrine of the Old Testament.

The Nature Of God

Scripture declares we are made in the image of God. So we can see his nature when we look at how we are created.
A man or woman has many sides, and you see those sides revealed depending on your relationship with that person. As your relationship changes or grows, you begin to see understand and know that person better.
Deut. 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Rev. 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Is. 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

God’s nature revealed

God created the earth, so he has a father relationship with all mankind. He robed Himself in flesh and came to the earth as our savior or lover. When we accept his love, he enters into a covenant relationship with us and His Spirit enters into us as an earnest of our future marriage when he carries us into heaven. We see all the sides of God as we draw nearer to Him for salvation. He reveals more of Himself to us as our relationship grows. He did not come to earth to reveal Himself as a committee of persons, each having separate, individual roles and responsibilities, but as one Spirit, drawing men into a closer relationship with the one true God, revealed in Jesus Christ.

Our nature revealed in our relationships:

Everyone has both a mother and a father, you may have sisters and/or brothers, you may either be an employer, employee, or homemaker. You probably also have friends, extended family, and other relationships.
A family has relationships that are not duplicated in casual friendships. The relationship between husband and wife is unique, and no other relationship equals that type of commitment. You don’t have the same relationship with your wife that you have with your coworkers or your neighbors. You first date a member of the opposite sex, then you become engaged, finally, you make a life long commitment to marriage.
